This data is stored in “cookies” or similar files. Cookies enable TCH systems to recognise your device and to offer you features such as personalised recommendations or saving your shopping basket until your next visit. We also use them to prevent fraud attempts, to improve the security of our website, and to learn about user preferences so that we can tailor our site and offerings to meet your needs.

We collect, store and process your data for the complete processing of your order, including possible subsequent guarantees, for our customer service and for the processing of payments (e.g., for the necessary checks in the case of purchases on account and financing).

In order to process your order, we need your exact name, address and payment details. We also need your e-mail address to communicate with you. You will receive your order and delivery confirmation at your e-mail address. We also use it for your identification (customer login).

We also use your data to enable third parties in Switzerland and, where applicable, also abroad to provide the requested commercial, financial, technical and logistical services and any other type of service on our behalf. We will only pass on your personal data to third parties if this is necessary for the execution of the contract, for invoicing or for the provision of commercial, financial or technical services for our website or if you have given your prior consent. In the context of order processing, for example, the service providers commissioned by us receive the data required to process the order. The data transmitted may only be used by our service providers to carry out the tasks required for this purpose. Any other use of the information is prohibited. If, in certain cases, data is to be transferred abroad to countries that do not have data protection legislation similar to that of Switzerland, we will make arrangements with these third parties to ensure strict compliance with data confidentiality, in particular by signing a corresponding contract.

If you do not wish to receive newsletters from us in the future, you can unsubscribe at any time. You can also ask our Customer Service to reactivate your subscription to our newsletter at any time.

  1. e) Individual advertising

The information you provide helps us to improve your shopping experience and to offer you a user-friendly and personalised service. The information you provide to us, as well as information automatically generated by our computer systems, is used to recommend products and services that may be of interest to you or to present you with relevant content, such as wish lists or customer reviews. The information we use is pseudonymised. Our goal is to design ads that are useful and interesting to you. By analysing and evaluating the pseudonymised data we collect, we can avoid sending you random advertisements. For example, we compare the promotional emails you open to avoid sending you unnecessary emails.

You consent to TCH’s use of your submitted data and other stored customer account information and pseudonymised usage data for the purpose of presenting you with personalised advertising and/or special offers and services. If you do not wish to receive personalised advertising, you may opt-out at any time. To do so, simply contact our Customer Service by e-mail, telephone or post.

If you contact us by e-mail or on our online form, we reserve the right to send you marketing communications related to our business by e-mail or telephone.

  1. h) Google Analytics and remarketing

This website uses Google Analytics and Google Remarketing. These are services of Google Inc (“Google”).

Google uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information collected by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities and to provide other services related to website use and internet usage. Google will only transfer this data to third parties if this is legally required or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data collected by Google.

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.

  1. i) Facebook

We use plugins from the social network Facebook, 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. Facebook plugins can be recognized by the Facebook logo or the like button on our site. When you visit our site, the plugin establishes a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. This way Facebook is informed that your IP address has visited our site. If you click on the “like” button while logged into your Facebook account, you can create a link between the content of our site and your Facebook profile. This allows Facebook to establish the relationship between your visit to our site and your user account. We would like to point out that we, as the operator of the website, have no knowledge of the content of the data transmitted and its use by Facebook and have no influence on the data collected by Facebook. We therefore recommend that you log out of your Facebook account before visiting our website or other external pages. You can find more information about this in the Facebook privacy statement. If you would like to prevent Facebook from setting cookies when you visit our site, you can activate the “Block third-party cookies” function in your browser options. Blocking cookies may, however, result in a limited use of the functions on the sites visited.

  1. Security measures, including payment security

TCH implements appropriate technical and organisational security measures in order to avoid any loss, fraud or modification of information and personal data transmitted by users. The user is aware that the transfer of data over the Internet always involves risks.

When ordering or collecting personal data from your customer account, web server software encrypts the information provided before transmitting it based on a 128-bit algorithm. This corresponds to the standard used by banks for online transactions. This system therefore offers a high level of protection. In protected areas, TCH’s URL always begins with https://, with the ‘s’ standing for ‘secured’. A closed padlock icon is also displayed in the corresponding area of the customer’s browser.

Stripe is a secure payment solution for processing online payments. The certified payment platform guarantees simple and reliable transactions using credit or debit cards. Security is guaranteed for both the operator of the TCH online shop and the cardholder.

  1. User rights

The user may at any time request that TCH send him a copy of his personal data or information on the use thereof. At the user’s request, TCH may also correct or delete the data in its possession. The body to be contacted in order to assert your rights is: TradeChain Sàrl, 2075 Thielle, CHE-184.997.435, Customer Service contact page

Your personal data will be deleted if there is no legal obligation to store it, if you have asserted your right to have it deleted, if the data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was stored or if storing it is prohibited for any other legal reason.

  1. Updating of the privacy statement

TCH reserves the right to update this privacy statement at any time in accordance with the relevant legal provisions.
